Caring for Your Background

While all backgrounds are food safe and food can be placed directly on them, it isn’t suggested to make it a habit to eat directly off of the board.

Yes! Your background can be placed in direct sunlight, but it is suggested that it is only there temporarily. An hour or two is ok, but try not to leave it in the sun for extended periods of time to avoid long-term heat damage.

If you live in colder climates your background will still be ok. Try to keep your background indoors at room temperatures as best as you can to maintain the best condition of your background.

It’s really up to you and the location where you plan to keep your background. You can have it upright folded, upright open, flat and folded, or flat and open. The decision is yours and you can even do a fun combination of it all until you find the best choice for you.

Damage

Don’t worry! Grab a napkin, paper towel, or a cloth and wipe it off. The board is spill resistant so you can simply clean it up and get back to work.

You can do one of two things. First – you can wipe the scratched area clean, sand it down, and recolor the board. It may be hard to make it look like it did pre-scratch but it can work. Second – you can wipe the scratched area and look at it as your own “personal touch” to the board.

Wow. Ok. Um you can always replace your background. Click here to head over to the store so you can buy a brand-new background.
